Maddox Foundation Wedding in Hernando, MS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LIZZY!!!  I TOTALLY meant to deliver your pictures on your birthday!  I love you, sweet girl!  I hope your day is as sweet as you.  Now to the good stuff...S  o this wedding was a unique one for me.  I knew the whole wedding party.  My brother-in-law was the best man.  I've known these kids since they were in high school and seen them all grow up practically.  Lizzy was adamant that she wanted me to take pictures the whole day, but then at the reception she wanted me to let my second shooter take over so I could get my crunk on.  And, boy, did I get my crunk on.  You will not be seeing those pictures.  Ryan (the groom), told me last July that he would be proposing in August.  I was there for the proposal, and I also did their engagement pictures.  Now they are all grown up and married.  I cried a lot at their wedding.  The Maddox Foundation house in Hernando, MS was an absolutely stunning setting in Desoto County for their beautiful day.  Though it did start off a little hectic with the rain - which ended up significantly cooling things down outside once the rain stopped - the day ended perfectly.

Ryan & Lizzy's Engagement Session

Ok - This one may make me cry.  I've watched this couple grow up.  Hill (Ryan) is good friends with my baby brudder-in-law.  I had the honor of being part of him popping the question (and keeping the secret from Lizzy... which nearly killed me) and now I will get to photograph their big day.  This is why I love my job. **Disclaimer** I know the GoPro video footage at the beginning isn't the best quality and is a bit shaky, but it was too sweet to not include!!!  :)

Downtown Memphis Engagement Session - Michael & Laura

On rare cases, I meet the couple for the first time at their engagement session.  Laura and I had talked once on the phone and exchanged a few texts.  But we both felt when we first met that we'd known each other for a long time.  Michael is the perfect compliment to Laura.  They've got some pretty cool jobs too.  She's a realtor (which I feel sometimes is secretly my dream job), and he works on events with the Final Four (which might actually be my husband's dream job).  By the end of this sweet session, I was kind of in love with these guys.  Check out their gorgeous Downtown Memphis engagement session.

Fall Engagement Session - Michael and Lauren

This couple is very quickly growing on me.  Maybe it's because within the first 5 minutes of meeting each other we were planning our first trip to Disney?  Maybe it's because we both share a passion for dancing?  (she's legit though)  I can't wait to photograph their big day!!  Enjoy!

The Caldwell Family

This family has been with me from the very beginning when I first decided photography was this cool thing that I liked to do.  It's so crazy to believe that their little girl is so big and they have another one on the way.  I got teary-eyed seeing Laura Ashlynn put on her mommy's wedding dress for this adorable family/maternity/4 year old/Christmas session (we go big when we do sessions).  I hope you enjoy!

Mr. & Mrs. Tubbs

There is just something about this couple that makes me happy.  Perhaps it's because they took in two puppies that were brother and sister when I was trying to find a home for them together so they wouldn't be split up.   Or... Perhaps it's because I am obsessed with her eyes.  I can't decide.  :) Check out their beautiful wedding at the Bank's House in Hernando, MS.
